Arras -Villecomte-Prades-de-la-Lez

26/01/18 Leave lovely Arras and spent most of the day driving today, so we are now just above Dijon, nearly halfway to the Spanish boarder, lots of flooding as we drive along.

Tonight’s campsite is at Villecomte a little gem found on Park 4 night   and completely free!!

The neighborhood watchdog came out to greet us !

The blue Hollow and Wash a lovely place to walk arranged around waters of a turquoise blue ponds of certain sources.

The washhouse of 1879 has an adjustable floor to follow the water level.

27/01/18 – Another days driving down past Lyon, where we pass the Musee de Confluences a very impressive futuristic building in-between the River Rhone and River Saone, a must visit next time.

the Rhone River which was very high and flooding in parts also.

Then on to Montpellier, trying to get to Spain, taking the toll roads as after checking, the journey time was 3 hours longer without, but this year it is definitely more expensive as is the petrol which on the motorways is an extortionate 1.59 euros.

Pass some wonderful sites along the way like The Fortresse de Mornas perched on a steep 137 metre high cliff,, whose remains are from the middle ages, another to do site !

Stop for lunch and have to settle for motorway cakes today, but still bloody good

Our stay for the night is another great site, right by a chateaux in Prades-de-la-Lez so we have an explore.

Great walks, lovely scenery and a peaceful nights sleep, what more could you want.
