Monday and its our last day in France, we are in Gravelines, the name is derived from the Dutch Gravenenga meaning Counts Canal.
we decide to go out for our last meal before we head off back to the U.K. tomorrow, only to find that its a bank holiday, international workers day apparently !! and everywhere is shut apart from one restaurant called Baker Street. We order typical french cuisine, Dave has fish and chips and I have salmon tagliatelle, ha ha.
We also find that we have no water, so nip quickly into the loos to fill up a water bottle from the sink, back at the van we have to boil water from our water tanks !!!! Couple of hours later 2 gippy tummys arghhhhhhh. Next morning up bright and early to catch our train back to the U.K.
We decide to stop half way back to North Wales, but alas unlike the continent, we cant find anywhere along our route to park unless we want to pay ,€33, we dont so we drive straight up to Cranage and park outside the Three Greyhound pub, spend our camping fees on a delicious meal and we can stay the night, sorted
Fed and watered we take the dogs for a walk around the lake
Tomorrow to North Wales and family visits.
