Oban and beyond

Thursday 13/10/2016 Dunstaffnage – Ardfern

Lovely place to wake up to, but too close to a very busy road, so not much shut eye.

img_5813Set off for Oban, about 5 minutes away !!! As per usual gorgeous scenery (an going to have to swot up on more adjectives)

Then another bloody steep hill up to McCaigs Tower, but luckily today I have some billy goat genes in the legs !

And views from our high vantage point. Just a quick reccy around Oban, as we are meeting up with our pals Ralph (our bird expert) and Jen next week and will be having a proper look then, might even go over to the Isle of Mull, seasickness pills here I come !

Off for lunch in Seamus by the side of Loch Feochan where what do we see but seals

Then it’s onto our patch for the night in Ardfern, a motorhome camping park, which is just a field really, reception is a hut with an honesty box in, rates and a few books to swop,  but again the view is of Lock Craignish and that says it all

What long days they have in Scotland.
